The health risks are greater for older adults, infants and young children, pregnant people, people with physical and/or mental illnesses, and people with disabilities or mobility issues.
Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
Drink plenty of water regularly, even before you feel thirsty to decrease your risk of dehydration. Thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration.

Dennis is still in the hospital. I did not go to see him yesterday. I took another covid test this morning and I'm still positive. You're supposed to stay at home until you have no fever and symptoms are improving for at least 24 hours. I have no fever and my symptoms have improved since yesterday. After isolating, wear a well-fitted, high quality mask when out in public for 10 days from when your symptoms started. Avoid non-essential visits to vulnerable individuals (e.g. seniors) and highest risk settings (e.g., hospitals, long-term care) for 10 days from when your symptoms started.
I went over to the hospital at 11:00 am to visit Dennis. I wore a mask, a gown and rubber gloves. I bought him 3 days worth of WiFi for his phone so he could catch up on the Family Chat. I sorted out his phone, brought him some Ensure drinks and a newspaper. I only stayed about 10 minutes. My back is still really sore and I'm exhausted.
I took a 1 1/2 hour nap on the couch from 1:50 pm - 3:25 pm.
